Arab MMA Show Al Batal on Pause

Al Batal Announces Show Will Be Taking Break To Develop Platform

Over the past two seasons, Al Batal has shifted towards becoming a more serious MMA reality show. It launched the careers of top fighters in the region, including Thabet Agha (Season 1 champion) and Walid Seghir (Season 2 champion). Both fighters are now in demand from regional & international MMA promotions.

Al Batal made it clear that its mission is to become the toughest MMA show in the region. It created a platform for Arab fighters to showcase their skills, and the challenges of being a professional fighter; all while training under some of the best coaches in the world.

To deliver on this mission, Al Batal is placing the project on hold while it develops the show’s format and network. On its return, Al Batal will be reformatted to focus more on the fighter’s training as they develop their physical and intellectual skills alongside their coaches and team.

“Al Batal is infused in the fabric of our lives at iSee. We are so proud of this brand. Putting it on pause - while we may find it rational - was shrouded with emotions. Ultimately, we want what’s best for Al Batal, so we put our attachment aside and started working on creating more value for stakeholders; i.e. the fighters, fans, networks and industry as a whole. I don't want to rush and create just another reality show, I want to make the best MMA reality show out there.„ Emad Hayan, CEO

Fighters that have submitted their application for Season 3 will remain on file and will be reviewed nearer to the next season’s recruitment stage. They are encouraged to continue submitting their applications through albatal.ae for review.

The Al Batal team hopes the show has inspired fans and fighters to become more dedicated to the sport, their goals and their passions.
